Good Afternoon Everyone!
I did some housekeeping on the blog. I updated the Weekly Meeting page to reflect the upcoming Sunday Evening change. I also gave a long winded explanation as to why the meeting was changed to that time and day. I updated the Youth Leaders page to reflect the lack of pictures and bios. Eventually I will take the pictures, and I will receive the bios from Pastor Jim, Ron, and Walt. Anyway, time for the Weekly Announcements.
A big Thank You to Suzanne Williams for speaking last week. I've heard great feedback from the Youth, and Suzanne said she enjoyed herself, too. I'm very thankful that there are people like Suzanne who are able and willing to teach the Youth Group while Ron and I take some time to rest and recharge.
This Wednesday, I will be speaking. Ryan is being summoned to a Building Meeting during the Youth Group meeting time. Ryan and I are working to reschedule him to sometime after the Sept 9th.
Speaking of Sept 9th, I have two major announcements for that day. First off, that is the start of the Sunday Evening Youth Group Meeting change! That's right, no more Wednesday nights, and instead, we are meeting Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm. I pray everyone is able to make it to the new meeting time and day.
Secondly, Sept 9th is the Youth Group Mixer Party! All Youth Group aged people are invited. This party is to welcome any new people who are now old enough to come to Youth Group and to welcome any people who can now make the usual Sunday evening meeting time. Party will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the church. Please bring $3, as we are going to try to get pizza, soda, and popcorn. Please let Ron, Val, Walt, or Mike know if you can make it, so we can get a feel for who is coming. Please note that the normal Sunday Evening Meeting time is from 5:00 to 7:00. These are extended hours for the party.
Thank you to the Youth Group members that were able to help out with the Church Building Berlin Farmers' Market Booth on Saturday. The event raised $500.00 for the Building Fund. It's amazing that we are able to collectively bring together items and convert them into cash for the new building. God is blessing us in this endeavor. (Endeavor, noun - an attempt to do or attain something.)
Anyway, that's all for now.
Michael
