Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the delay in the Weekly Announcements. Yesterday was a crazy day. Lots of announcements, so here we go!
Last Week's Meeting:
A huge "THANK YOU" to Donna Webster for coming out last week and leading the discussion. For those that missed it, we spoke about Honor. Honor is a huge topic that Donna was able to concentrate into one lesson. She had index card handouts for the verses, and the pace of information was very good, I thought. Thank you again, Donna. We enjoyed having you teach.
Party Announcement!
We are having a Game Day this Saturday, August 18 from 1:00 - 5:00pm at the church. Everyone, please bring $2 so we can order pizza or a snack for everyone. Bring your marshmallow shooters as well.
Meeting Day and Time Change!
Starting on Sunday, September 9th, the Youth Group Meeting day and time will change to Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00pm. We will still be meeting at the church.
Tomorrow's Meeting:
Tomorrow's guest speaker has been changed. I will be leading tomorrow's discussion. The summer has been very restful for me, and Val still needs additional time to finish her message. So, I'm back at the front for next week. (In all honesty, I've missed leading the discussions, and I'm excited to get back at it.)
Next Week's Meeting:
Next week, we will be hearing from Suzanne Williams. Suzanne is the church secretary, and she is definitely a Godly woman. I look forward to hearing what God has laid on Suzanne's heart to share with us.
Church Building Fundraiser:
Ed Webster is organizing a booth at the Berlin Farmers' Market for August 25th. Volunteers are needed to help man the booth. I am asking the older Youth Group members to help out throughout the day, especially in the morning during the rush hours. I will be there for the morning, and possibly part of the afternoon. I am not 100% sure of the times just yet. I am still getting details from Ed. I will relay additional information at the Youth Group Meeting tomorrow night. (And I'll post on the blog.)
That's all for now. See everyone tomorrow night.
-Michael
