Friday Announcements

Hi Everyone!

It's time for the Friday Announcements and Prayer Requests.

A big "Thank You" to Ed Webster for coming and speaking with the Youth Group on Wednesday.  Ed spoke on Patience, and that was great to hear his thoughts and insights.  As a surprise, I was able to make it.  I will also be making the next two Youth Group meetings.  

As a follow up, everyone is encouraged to think of questions to ask the Youth Group Leaders.  These questions should have some meaning to you.  Examples would be, "Do animals go to Heaven?"  "How can God be God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, but still one being?"  "What does the Bible say about proper clothing?"

I will be quizzing everyone I see on Sunday for the July Verse of the Month.  Take a few minutes to memorize the verse.  Galatians 4:4 "But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth his son, born of a woman, born under the law."

Everyone, please think of community outreach ideas.  Those ideas can be fund raisers, helping the community, helping church family members, or anything that furthers God's kingdom.  To make things clear, these projects are volunteer projects, so we will not be paid for our time.  We are doing them to show God's love to others.

Ed shared an upcoming event.  He is working with the Berlin Farmers' Market to allow the church to sell donated items for the Church Building fund.  Ed is still working on the dates, so stay tuned.  This would be a great opportunity for us to help out by helping to man the booth and to spread God's word to shoppers.

That's all for now.  I am teaching Sunday School this Sunday, so I will see everyone then.
